Eliabeth Sherman's School of Elocution

Created by Faith Jones Kimble 14 years ago
I am so sorry to hear of your Mother's passing. She and I attended and graduated from Mrs. Sherman's School of Elocution in the 1940's, in Scranton, Pa. In fact just recently I was going through memoribilia from those days. We were in many plays together. In may of 1944 we were in Mary's Victory Garden. She was Bo Peep and I was Miss Muffet. In 1945 she played Nan Giddy in a Shakespeare Farce. In 1947, the year she graduated, we were in a play entitled Polly's Ghost. I played Polly and your Mom was Mrs. Jason, mistress of the house. I assisted in her graduation, as she was a few years older than I. I still has a few years before I would graduate. She was a very special person. I was always happy to be in her company, she was unique. I always wondered what had become of her. I was not surprised to hear she had become a minister. I also loved seeing the photo gallery, you put together. I only regret that I didn't find her again, sooner. You are blessed to have had her as your mother. I know she will be greatly missed by all who knew her. I have lived in Port Orange, Fl, for the past 22 years. My name was Faith Jones. My last name is now Kimble. If there are any questions concerning this time in her life that I can help you with and might have the answers, please feel free to contact me. With My Deepest Sympathy for your Loss, Faith Kimble
